Flamingo Hotel
Opened in 1946, the Flamingo was the one of the first casino-hotels in Las Vegas and led the way for what was to become one of the most extravagant entertainment centres in the world. The hotel boasts an enviable central location on the famous Las Vegas Strip and offers more than just a place to rest your head. It is a completely self-contained resort, featuring 15 acres of lush, landscaped gardens, lagoons, waterfalls, pools and sunbathing facilities. The islands of the Wildlife Habitat are home to flamingos, swans, ducks, turtles and fish which live amongst the waterfalls and tropical foliage.
True to its gambling history, the recently renovated Margaritaville Casino offers all the traditional gaming attractions, in Caribbean-themed surroundings. There are over 1,600 slot machines and the 70 table games feature blackjack, poker, craps, roulette and mini-baccarat. Comfortable, high-tech facilities are in place for keno, poker tournaments and the race and sports book.
If you fancy soaking up the sun, the family-friendly Beach Club pool is set in beautiful surroundings and offers luxury cabanas for hire. Close by is the cafe which serves snacks, beverages and cocktails. The larger Go Pool is restricted to over 18s and is surrounded by water features and sunbathing areas.
For more active pursuits, guests have access to four lighted tennis courts, a fully equipped fitness centre and preferred admission to two top-class golf courses.
When it’s time for pampering, the Alexandra Salon and the Spa offer a full range of beauty treatments or relaxation therapies for men and women.
These services are especially convenient for the “bride-to-be” who has a choice of six beautiful locations for a fairytale wedding within the tropical grounds of the resort. Wedding co-ordinators are available to organise everything from salon appointment to champagne.
If you feel like browsing, there are several shops on-site which stock jewellery, handbags, fashion accessories, adult lingerie, souvenirs and children’s clothing and toys, as well as everyday essentials, beverages and snacks.
The Flamingo Showroom is the hotel’s theatre which seats 750. It plays host to many international entertainers and runs a rolling programme of events and entertainments throughout the year. Artistes will include Donny and Marie Osmond, famous comedians, magicians and, adult-only, burlesque performers.
The Flamingo has two Food Courts, each of which has several dining outlets. In addition, there are a number of individual restaurants and bars, offering choices from casual snacks to fine dining. Wide-ranging menus offer something for every palate, including Japanese, Caribbean, traditional American and Seafood. Several of these venues feature music and entertainment.

Flamingo GO Deluxe - approx 350 square feet
This room has one king bed or two queen beds with ceiling-high headboards and contemporary furnishings. Additional features include a 42 inch flat-screen TV, CD/DVD surround sound system, iPod dock, electronic window coverings and internet access (charges apply). The luxury bathroom has frosted glass walls, upgraded shower fixtures and amenities and a TV screen built into the mirror. These rooms offer views of the garden or Imperial Palace Hotel.
