Stratosphere Las Vegas
The tower of the Stratosphere Hotel will probably be the first part of Las Vegas that most people will see since it stretches 1,149 feet into the sky. It is one of the tallest freestanding structures in the USA.
The Stratosphere is situated at the northern end of the famous Las Vegas Strip, about 2 miles from the major hotels and casinos of the busier Central Strip area. However, the Stratosphere has so many attractions of its own to offer its guests, that many people won't feel the need to leave the hotel very often.
The hotel has a large outdoor swimming pool with an extensive deck area for lounging and sunbathing. There is also a poolside bar and cafe serving light snacks. For adults only, the beach club 25 pool allows topless bathing.
For guests who feel like pampering themselves, the Stratosphere offers a spa which has a wide range of treatments, including facials and massages. There are special packages available for brides-to-be who are staying at the hotel. Located in the spa area is an extensive and well-equipped fitness centre. This is available free of charge and is open for 24 hours a day.
A major attraction in the Stratosphere is, of course, the casino. All of the usual table games and popular slot machines are available around the clock. To make a change from gambling, there is also a theatre which offers first-class entertainment.
The ladies in particular will find the hotel's 32 shop mini shopping mall an enjoyable experience. There is a wide range of items on offer including clothing, novelties and souvenirs of Las Vegas.
The Stratosphere’s tower is, of course, an outstanding and unique attraction. Its observation platform provides fantastic, expansive views over the city and the surrounding landscape. Not only that, but for those brave enough to try them, the tower is home to the world's highest rides and the opportunity to participate in a daunting free-fall jump from the tower. As well as this the tower has a revolving restaurant and its own wedding chapel.
Dining
As well as the Top Of The Tower revolving restaurant, there are an additional five places where guests can eat and drink at the Stratosphere. The choices on offer include a simple coffee bar, a buffet and a fine Italian restaurant.
