The Kitano New York

The Kitano Hotel is situated in the quiet, mainly residential, area of Murray Hill. Although the hotel is Japanese-owned and has some reminders of that in its decor, it is furnished in a comfortable and luxurious way that is more reminiscent of a modern European hotel.
The hotel’s location puts it within easy walking distance of many iconic Manhattan attractions. For instance, it stands almost exactly in between those huge megaliths, the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building, both about six blocks away. Broadway’s theatres and Times Square are about half a mile from the hotel and, if you don’t want to walk, there are subways at Grand Central Station, just five minutes away.
Business visitors will appreciate the complimentary morning shuttle to Wall Street. The hotel also has a range of services for those who are on business, including a private work space that can be rented for a small charge.
Unlike many New York hotels the Kitano doesn’t have a fitness centre on site but free passes to a nearby fitness club are available from the front desk.
The Kitano has a small but interesting gift shop. As well as the usual type of souvenirs it sells Japanese pottery items.
