Mansfield
The Mansfield Hotel is lovely, quaint hotel, something of an anachronism amongst the glamour and glitz of midtown Manhattan. It is a small, 126 room hotel, housed in a beautiful 1903 Beaux Arts building which was originally a block of apartments for the wealthy. Among the many famous residents was the father of poet W B Yeats, J B Yeats, and one of the hotel’s suites is named after him.
The hotel enjoys a prime position just a short walk away from the vibrancy of Times Square and Broadway’s theatres. Most of Manhattan’s famed attractions such as the towering height of The Empire State Building and the shops of Madison and Fifth Avenue are also close by.
For those days when you feel you need a break from sightseeing, the hotel has the perfect venue in its Club Room. Here guests can relax in deep, comfy armchairs and enjoy a game of chess or cards, perhaps imagining that they have been transported to a bygone age. There is a 24 hour complimentary coffee or cappuccino service available in the Club Room.
Even the fitness centre at the Mansfield doesn’t entirely escape from the clutches of the past. At the Mansfield it is called a gymnasium. That apart, it is equipped with the most modern of fitness machines and weights and an ingenious lighting system that gives the impression of training out of doors. An area situated above the gymnasium is set aside for stretching exercises and yoga practice.
The M Bar
The M Bar offers guests a place to sip classic cocktails and listen to live music. The area recreates an atmosphere similar to the Club Room, with mahogany bookshelves and a domed skylight.
Although the decor of the hotel is reminiscent of a London Gentleman’s Club, the rooms are bang up-to-date when it comes to modern conveniences and equipment. All of the hotel’s rooms and suites have the following amenities in common:

Chambre Petite
A small, intimate room, perfect for the single traveller. It has a full sized bed.
